Add or remove BAMs, and set a default Address Manager configuration or view.

Note: If you passed the BAM IP as an environment variable when first setting up BlueCat Gateway, that IP will be displayed in the General Configuration workflow.
  1. Log in to BlueCat Gateway.
  2. Select Administration > General Configuration.
    BAM Settings opens.
  3. Under BAM URLs, enter the IP address of the primary BAM, and select HTTP or HTTPS from the drop-down menu. (Optional) In the BAM Alias field, enter the name of the BAM. For example, Primary, Secondary, Test, or Production.
Click Add another BAM if you want to add another BAM.
Attention: Use caution when removing BAMs.

If you remove a configured (not just the primary), BAM that is being used to authenticate BlueCat Gateway, the system will terminate all user sessions connected to that BAM, and will redirect you to the login page.

  4. (Optional) Enter the name of your Default Configuration in Address Manager. All workflows will be executed against that specific configuration.
  5. (Optional) Enter the name of your Default View in Address Manager. All workflows will be executed against that specific DNS view.
  6. Click Save.
