To access this page, select the Credentials tab in the Network Discovery & Visibility GUI.

Use the Credentials page to add device credentials; these credentials will be stored in Network Discovery. You can also manage all the added credentials from this page.

By default, each credential entry in the Credentials table has the following attributes:
Column Description
Name The unique name provided for the credentials.
Type The type of credentials created.

The possible values are SNMPv1, SNMPv2c, SNMPv3, VMware, and SSH.
Creation time The date and time when the credentials were created.

The date is displayed in the format MM DD, YYYY and time is displayed in the format hh:mm:ss AM/PM.

Actions you can perform on the selected credentials: view additional information about the credentials, edit configured settings, and delete the credentials.

Actions you can perform

You can perform the following actions from this page:

  • Similar to other tables in Integrity, you can search for specific credentials in the Credentials table by name, sort and customize the table, as well as filter, refresh, and download table data.
  • Create credentials—before running discovery, you must add credentials that match the type of discovery you want to run. For detailed procedures, refer to Add credentials.
  • View additional information about credentials—to view additional information about the added credentials:
    Select a credential entry in the Credentials table, or select the vertical ellipsis icon for an entry in the table, then select View details. The expanded details section displays additional information such as policies linked to the selected credentials and the SNMP port number used by the device.
  • Edit settings configured for credentials—to edit the configured settings for credentials:
  1. Do one of the following:
    • Select the vertical ellipsis icon for a credential entry in the Credentials table, then select Edit.
    • Select a credential entry in the Credentials table, then select Edit in the expanded details section that appears.

  2. Modify the parameters as required, then select Update. For details on the parameters, refer to Add credentials.

    The credentials are updated and you're taken back to the Credentials page.

  • Delete credentials—you can delete any discovery credentials that are not being used in a discovery policy.

To delete one or more credentials:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Select the checkbox for one or more credentials in the Credentials table, then select Actions > Delete selected.
    • Select the vertical ellipsis icon for a credential entry in the Credentials table, then select Delete.
    • Select a policy entry in the Credentials table, then select Delete in the expanded details section that appears.

    A confirmation window appears, asking you to confirm the deletion.

  2. Select Delete again.

    If the selected credentials are not being used in a discovery policy, the credentials are successfully deleted. You're taken back to the Credentials page.

    If any selected credentials are currently being used in a discovery policy, such credentials cannot be deleted and an error message is displayed. Select Cancel to go back to the Credentials page.
