Use the following procedure to add SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c credentials:
Note: If multiple devices use the same credentials, you can create the credentials once and save them to reuse across multiple discovery policies.
  1. Select the Credentials tab.
  2. Select New Credentials > SNMPv1, or SNMPv2c, based on your requirements.
  3. In the Create a new credential window that appears, set the following parameters:
    Note: Parameters marked with an asterisk (*) in the UI are mandatory.
    • Name—enter a unique name for the credentials. For example, JuniperSwitch-SNMPv1. This name is used only for identification within Network Discovery and in discovery policies.
    • Port—enter the SNMP port number that the device uses for SNMP requests. The default port is 161.
    • Community string—enter the community string (password) configured for the SNMP user on the device. For example, public.
  4. Select Create to create the credentials and return to the Credentials table, or select Create and add another to create the credentials and re-open the Create a new credential window.
