Quick actions allows you to quickly add text records to a specific configuration and view. This reduces the number of page clicks required if you frequently add text records to the same configuration.
To add text records:

Select a quick actions method:
- If using the Quick actions widget:
- From the Quick actions widget that has the appropriate configuration and view configured, under Resource records, select Add > Text record (TXT).
- If using the Quick actions button in the
toolbar:
- Ensure the proper configuration is selected in the top bar configuration selector, select the Quick actions button (lightning bolt), ensure the correct view is selected in the expanded Quick actions menu, then select Add text record (TXT).
- If using the Quick actions widget:

Under General, configure the following parameters:
- In the Zone field, type or choose the zone to which you want to add the text record. You will only be allowed to select zones to which you have been granted access.
- Name—select one of the following options:
- Same as zone—to use the zone name for the name of the text record, select this option.
- Specify name—to specify a name for the record, select this option and enter a name in the Name field that appears.
- Text—enter the string value for the record.
- Override TTL—to change the time-to-live value for the record, select this checkbox and enter a value in the TTL field that is displayed. Select a unit of time from the drop-down menu.
- Under Additional info, enter notes describing the resource record in the Comment field, if required.
- In the Change control section, add comments if required.
- Select Create or Create and add another.
