The following section outlines the steps to add a user-defined link definition.
Note: The equivalent API method to add a user-defined link definition in the Address
Manager Legacy v1 API is: POST
/v1/addUserDefinedLink
To add a user-defined link type:
- Select the Global tab in the sidebar.
- Select User-defined links.
- Select New.

On the General tab, set the following parameters:
- Name—enter a unique name for the user-defined
link definition.Note:
- You cannot enter a Link Type that is a reserved link type name. For a list of reserved link type names, refer to Reference: Reserved link type names.
- You cannot enter a name that begins with the prefix "BCN_".
- The name field is not case-sensitive.
- You cannot edit the name value.

- Display name—enter the name for the user-defined link definition that will be displayed in the Address Manager UI.
- Description—enter the description for the user-defined link definition.
- Name—enter a unique name for the user-defined
link definition.

On the Object types tab, set the following
parameters:
- Source types—select the source entity types from the drop-down menu and select the Add (+) button.
- Destination types—select the corresponding destination entity types from the drop-down menu and select the Add (+) button.
- On the Change control tab, add comments, if required.
- Select Create or Create and add another.
