Add an DHCP range template item to an IPv4 template to create an DHCP range within a network when applying the template.

To create a template:

  1. Select the IPAM tab in the sidebar, then select IPv4 templates.
  2. Select the name of an IPv4 template.
  3. Select New > IPv4 DHCP range template item.
  4. Under General, configure the following parameters:
    • Name—enter a name for the IPv4 template item.
    • Split around static addresses—select the checkbox to automatically split the DHCP range at any static or reserved addresses that may be in the network and within the DHCP range. Upon deployment, Address Manager automatically creates multiple DHCP pools on the managed server, leaving any static addresses outside of the DHCP range you specify. When not selected, any static or reserved addresses within the DHCP range become part of the DHCP range.
    • Defined by—select from the following options:
      • Offset and size:
        • Offset method—select Start offset to offset the start of the DHCP range from the start of the network. Select End offset to offset the start of the DHCP range from the end of the network. After selecting the offset type, enter the offset value and the Size of the DHCP range.
      • Offsets—enter the offsets from the start and end of the network that mark the boundaries of the DHCP range.
      • Offset and percentage—select Start offset to offset the start of the DHCP range from the start of the network. Select End offset to offset the start if the DHCP range from the end of the network. After selecting the offset type, enter a percentage value indicating the percentage of the parent network that will be included in the DHCP range (the DHCP range size), starting at the offset.
  5. In the Change control section, add comments if required.
  6. Select Create or Create and add another.
