Adding an alias record (CNAME) using Quick actions - BlueCat Integrity - 26.1.0

Quick actions allows you to quickly add alias records to a specific configuration and view. This reduces the number of page clicks required if you frequently add alias records to the same configuration.

1. Select a quick actions method:
   • If using the Quick actions widget:
     • From the Quick actions widget that has the appropriate configuration and view configured, under Resource records, select Add > Alias record (CNAME).
   • If using the Quick actions button in the toolbar:
     • Ensure the proper configuration is selected in the top bar configuration selector, select the Quick actions button (lightning bolt), ensure the correct view is selected in the expanded Quick actions menu, then select Add alias record (CNAME).
2. Under General, configure the following parameters:
   • In the Zone field, type or select the zone to which you want to add the alias record. You will only be allowed to select zones to which you have been granted access.
   • Name—enter the name for the alias record.
   • Host—enter or select a host record from the drop-down menu. To specify an external host, enter the name of the host and select the External host checkbox.
   • Override TTL—to change the time-to-live value for the record, select this checkbox and enter a value in the TTL field that is displayed. Select a unit of time from the drop-down menu.
3. Under Additional info, enter notes describing the resource record in the Comment field, if required.
4. In the Change control section, add comments if required.
5. Select Create or Create and add another.
