In the FC00::/6 Unique Local Address Space, blocks can range in size from /6 to /126. In the 2000::/3 Global Unicast Address Space, blocks can range in size from /3 to /126.
You can add, edit, and delete IPv6 blocks within the Unique Local Address Space and Global Unicast Address Space.
When you delete an IPv6 block, any child objects are also deleted.
To add an IPv6 block:
- Select the IPAM tab in the sidebar, then select IPv6 blocks.
- Select the 2000::/3 (Global Unicast Address Space) range, or the fc00::/6 (Unique Local Address Space) range.

Choose one of the following tasks:
To add a child block
- Select New > IPv6 block.

Under General, set the following parameters:
- When adding blocks within the fc00::/6 block, the
following option is available:
- MAC address of the server—to base the site prefix
on the server's MAC address, select this option and
enter the the MAC address in the format
nn:nn:nn:nn:nn:nn where nn is a hexadecimal value from
00 to FF.
- Get MAC address of the server automatically—select this check box to have Address Manager automatically insert the MAC address of the server into the MAC address of the server field.
- MAC address of the server—to base the site prefix
on the server's MAC address, select this option and
enter the the MAC address in the format
nn:nn:nn:nn:nn:nn where nn is a hexadecimal value from
00 to FF.
- Range—enter the range for the block in CIDR notation.
- Name—enter a name for the block.
- Location—select a location from the drop-down menu on which the IP object that you are adding or editing will be based.
- When adding blocks within the fc00::/6 block, the
following option is available:
- Under Change control, add comments, if required.
- Select Create or Create and add another.
To edit a block- Select the row containing the IPv6 block in the table, then select Edit in the expanded details section.

Under General, set the following parameters:
- Name—enter a name for the block.
- Location—select a location from the drop-down menu on which the IP object that you are adding or editing will be based.
- Under Change control, add comments, if required.
- Select Save.
To delete a block- Select the check box for one or more IPv4 blocks.
- Select Actions > Delete selected.
- Under Change control, add comments, if required.
- Select Delete IPv6 block or network.
