The Appliance tab displays metrics collected related to the load on the physical or virtual appliance.

From this tab, the following graphs display metrics about the appliance:

  • System load—displays the load on the system over the specified timeframe.
    Under the graph, you can select the following to filter the content displayed in the graph:
    • Load 1m—filters the graph to display the average load on the system over a 1 minute period.
    • Load 5m—filters the graph to display the average load on the system over a 5 minute period.
    • Load 15m—filters the graph to display the average load on the system over a 15 minute period.
  • CPU usage—displays the CPU utilization of the appliance over the specified timeframe.
  • Memory usage—displays the memory utilization of Address Manager over the specified timeframe. The graph title displays the total available memory, in megabytes.
  • Disk IO - packets read/write—displays the number of packets written or read from the disk of the appliance over the specified timeframe.
    Under the graph, you can select the following to filter the content displayed in the graph:
    • Disk reads—filters the graph to display only the number of disk reads performed within the timeframe.
    • Disk writes—filters the graph to display only the number of disk writes performed within the timeframe.
  • Network traffic - packets received/sent—displays the number of packets sent or received from the appliance over the specified timeframe.
    Under the graph, you can select the following to filter the content displayed in the graph:
    • NetIO packets received—filters the graph to display only the number of network packets received within the timeframe.
    • NetIO packets sent—filters the graph to display only the number of network packets sent within the timeframe.
  • System fans (Physical appliances only)—displays the fan speeds (RPM) of each fan within the appliance.
    Note: This graph is only displayed on physical appliances. This graph does not appear for virtual appliances.
  • System temperature (Physical appliances only)—displays the CPU, system board exhaust, and system board inlet temperatures, in Celsius.
    Note: This graph is only displayed on physical appliances. This graph does not appear for virtual appliances.
  • Disk partition usage—displays the different partitions within the appliance and the percentage usage of each partition. The graph title displays the total available disk size, in gigabytes.

    Under the graph, you can select the name of the partition to display only the usage percentage for the selected partition.

  • Disk usage—displays disk usage per partition within Address Manager over the specified timeframe. The graph title displays the total available disk size, in gigabytes.

    Under the graph, you can select the name of the partition to display only the usage percentage for the selected partition.



To view appliance metrics:
  1. Select the Overview tab in the sidebar, then select Dashboards.
  2. Select the name of the Address Manager or DNS/DHCP Server that you would like to retrieve metrics for.
  3. Select the Appliance tab.
