Upload Address Manager patch (hotfix) and update files obtained from BlueCat Customer Care to upgrade to the latest version of Address Manager, or to apply updates that include performance enhancements, new functionality, or fixes to security vulnerabilities.

Attention: Before applying patches, hotfixes, or software updates in a replicated environment, the Status of all Address Manager servers in replication must be Replicating. If any of the servers are Not replicating, you can't perform the update.

To upload and apply patches, hotfixes, or software updates to Address Manager:

  1. Select the Settings tab in the sidebar, then select Software updates.
  2. To upload an Address Manager update/patch file, select New.
  3. In the Upload patch or update file box, drag and drop or use the file browser to select the tar or tar.gz patch/update file.
    Note: Address Manager will automatically detect if you are uploading an update file, for example bam_update_25.1.1-123.GA.bcn_amd64.tar.gz, or a patch (hotfix) file, for example bam_25.1.1-123_HOTFIX-123_amd64.tar.gz.
  4. In the Upload public key box, drag and drop or use the file browser to select the .key public key file.
  5. Select Upload.
  6. Once the patch/update file is uploaded, it will appear in the Software updates table.
  7. To apply the patch/update file, select the row actions button () for the file in the table, then select Apply update.
  8. In the confirmation window, select Apply patch or Apply update.
Depending on the type of patch/update you applied, the Address Manager server might restart. The user interface and API might be temporarily inaccessible for a few minutes.
