Quick actions allows you to quickly assign IP addresses within a specific network.
To assign a static IPv4 address:

Select a quick actions method:
- If using the Quick actions widget:
- From the Quick actions widget that has the appropriate configuration and view configured, under IP addresses, select Assign > Static IPv4 address.
- If using the Quick actions button in the
toolbar:
- Ensure the proper configuration is selected in the top bar configuration selector, select the Quick actions button (lightning bolt), ensure the correct view is selected in the expanded Quick actions menu, then select Assign static IPv4 address.
- If using the Quick actions widget:

Under General, set the following parameters:
- Network—enter the network that you want to assign an IPv4 address in.
- Address—enter the IP address. After selecting the network, this field will be automatically populated with the first available address in the network.
- MAC address—enter the MAC address for the IP address in the format nnnnnnnnnnnn, nn-nn-nn-nn-nn-nn, or nn:nn:nn:nn:nn:nn, where nn is a hexadecimal value from 00 to FF.

Hostname—select from the following options:
- Same as zone—select this option to give the host the same name as the zone.
- Specify name—enter the name for the host record assignment.
- Reverse record—select the checkbox to create a reverse record for the host.
- Location—select a location from the drop-down menu to associate the IP address to a location.
- IP address name—enter a descriptive name for the IP address.
- On the Change control tab, add change control comments if required.
- Select Create.
