In Address Manager v26.1.0, users can disable Basic HTTP authentication for the RESTful v2 API, limiting HTTP authentication to OAuth 2.0 authentication through Bearer Tokens. For more information on creating RESTv2 API sessions using the Basic and Bearer HTTP authentication schemes, refer to Creating an API session in the Address Manager RESTful V2 API Guide.
To enable or disable Basic HTTP authentication:
- Select the Settings tab in the sidebar.
- Under System security, select User security.
- Select the Login policy tab.
- Select the Enable API HTTP basic authentication checkbox to enable Basic authentication for the RESTful V2 API. Deselect the checkbox to disable Basic authentication for the RESTful V2 API.
- Select Update login policy.
The newly configured login security policy rules are in
effect.
