Configuring a primary role for the BlueCat DNS server - BlueCat Integrity - 26.1.0

The DNS primary server needs to be configured.

1. Select the DNS tab in the sidebar, then select Views.
2. Select the name of the default view.
3. Select the Deployment roles tab.
4. Select New.
5. Under General, set the following parameters:
   • Role—select Primary.
   • Service interface—select the service interface of the DNS server.
6. Select Create.
7. Select the Servers tab in the sidebar, then select Servers.
8. Select the name of the DNS server set as the primary.
9. Select the Deployment options tab.
10. Select New > DNS option.
11. Add the following options:
    • Allow Query (6)—add the value 0/0 in the IP address/Network field.
    • Allow Query Cache (36)—add the value 0/0 in the IP address/Network field.
12. Select Create.
