How to configure DNS forwarding zones in Address Manager.

Configuring a forwarding zone involves a number of steps:
  1. Create DNS server objects to represent the server(s) hosting the authoritative zone to which you will be forwarding the query.
  2. Assign the primary DNS deployment role to the first server. Assign secondary DNS deployment roles to any additional servers.
  3. Assign the Forwarder DNS deployment role to the managed DNS/DHCP Server hosting the forwarding zone.

To configure a forwarding zone:

  1. If the server hosting the zone is not under Address Manager control, select the Servers tab in the sidebar and add an Other DNS Server to represent the DNS server hosting the zone to which you will be forwarding queries. For details on adding an Other DNS Server, see Adding Other DNS servers.
Alternatively, if the server hosting the zone is under Address Manager control, you can add a DNS/DHCP Server.
