After creating a client class, you need to configure one or more subclasses.
Subclasses were referred to as DHCP match class values in previous versions of
Address Manager.
The value represents the data against which clients match. For example, if you want a
hardware match class to match all clients with a MAC address beginning with
00-11-22, define this data as part of a match value.
To add a match class value:
-
Select the IPAM tab in the sidebar, then select
DHCP settings.
-
On the DHCP client classes tab, select a DHCP client
class.
-
On the DHCP subclasses tab, select
New.
-
Under General, set the following parameters:
- Value—enter the value to be matched. The length
of the match value must match the length, in bytes, specified in the
match class.
- Description—enter a description of the value to
be matched.
-
In the Change control
section, add comments if required.
-
Select Create or Create and add
another.
