Ensure you meet the following requirements for the type of discovery you want to run:
Discovery type Requirements SNMP UDP ports 161 and 162 must be open to ensure that firewall rules allow SNMP traffic. VMware The probe must have HTTP access to the VMware virtualized environments (vCenter Servers or ESXi hosts). SSH TCP port 22 must be open to ensure SSH access to devices on the network. -
When creating a discovery probe, you will be required to select a BlueCat Server on which the probe will be enabled. In addition to the Address Manager Servers, the available list includes only those BlueCat DNS/DHCP Servers that are under Address Manager control (only v26.1 and greater are supported). If the required BlueCat DNS/DHCP Server is not listed, you must first add it under Address Manager control by using the procedure described in Adding DNS/DHCP Servers to Address Manager. Once added, the BlueCat DNS/DHCP Server will appear in the list and can be selected to enable the probe on it.
