A naming restriction is a list of words that can't be used as part of a
resource record name. Use naming restrictions to prevent reserved or undesirable words from
being used in resource record names.
You can add naming restrictions to a naming policy at any time; you don't need to
create naming restrictions before you create a naming policy.
To create a naming restriction:
-
Select the Administration tab. Tabs remember the
page you last worked on, so select the tab again to ensure you're on the
Administration page.
-
Under General, click Naming Policy
Management.
-
Click the Naming Restrictions tab.
-
Under Naming Restriction, click
New.
-
Under General, complete the following:
-
Click Add.
-
Select an item in the list, and then click Move Up or
Move Down to move the item up or down in the
list.
-
Under Change
Control, add comments, if required.
-
Click Add.
