An ENUM zone in Address Manager contains numbers, prefixes, deployment options, and deployment roles.
To create or edit an ENUM zone:
- Select the DNS tab in the sidebar, then select Views.
- Select the name of a view in the Views table or DNS tree.
- Select the ENUM zones tab.
- To create an ENUM zone, select New. To edit an ENUM zone, select the vertical ellipsis (three dots) icon for an ENUM zone prefix in the table and then select Edit. Alternatively, you can also select the prefix and then select Edit in the ENUM zone's object menu.
-
Under General, configure the following parameters:
- Prefix—enter a value for the portion of the telephone number that the zone represents. Typically, an ENUM zone represents a portion of a telephone number, such as the country code, area code, or exchange.
- Allow this zone to be deployable—select the checkbox to allow the ENUM zone to be deployable. When not selected, the zone is not deployable.
- In the Change control section, add comments if required.
- If creating an ENUM zone, select Create to create the ENUM zone and return to the ENUM zones tab, or select Create and add another to create the ENUM zone and re-open the Create ENUM zone window. If editing an ENUM zone, select Save.
