The DHCPv4 tab displays metrics collected related to DHCPv4 usage on the DNS/DHCP Server.
Attention: Address Manager v25.1 can only collect metrics
from DNS/DHCP Servers running software version 25.1.
Note: If the DNS/DHCP Server is not configured with DHCPv4 service, a
message appears indicating that the service is disabled on the server. Click
Go to server to navigate to the Deployment
roles tab of the DNS/DHCP Server.
From this tab, the following graphs display metrics about DHCPv4 usage:
- DHCP leases per second—displays the DHCPv4 leases per second processed by the DNS/DHCP Server for the given timeframe.
- Lease renewal—displays the number of DHCPv4 leases that have been renewed by the DNS/DHCP Server for the given timeframe.
- DHCP NACKs—displays the number of DHCPv4 negative acknowledgement (NACK) messages returned by the DNS/DHCP Server for the given timeframe.
- Top DHCP talkers—displays the most frequently occurring MAC addresses present
in incoming DHCPv4 messages on the DNS/DHCP Server for the given timeframe. You can
hover your cursor over the graph to display additional information about each MAC
address.Note: This graph only displays the top 10 talkers for the selected timeframe, sorted from highest to lowest.
- Leases per second—displays the leases per second (LPS) load on the DNS/DHCP Server for the given timeframe.
- DHCP messages—displays the DHCPv4 messages processed by the DNS/DHCP Server for the given timeframe. The graph represents the number of queries based on each DHCP message type, such as ACK, DISCOVER, and REQUEST.
To view DHCPv4 metrics:
- Select the Overview tab in the sidebar, then select Dashboards.
- Select the name of the DNS/DHCP Server that you would like to retrieve metrics for.
- Select the DHCPv4 tab.
