You can perform database backups on demand or schedule them to occur at set times and frequency. You can write backup files to the local server or to a remote server using FTP or SFTP. The backup process is logged to the syslog.
Starting in Address Manager v25.1, database backups can be performed from the Address
Manager UI or the Administration Console. The following section outlines working with
database backups from the Address Manager UI. For more information on working with
database backups from the Administration Console, refer to Database backup.
Attention: When
database replication is configured, you cannot perform a database backup on the
Standby servers; however, you can still configure a disabled database backup profile
on the Standby servers.
Address Manager includes a pre-defined
database backup profile named default. You can either use this default profile or
create a new backup profile to perform a manual or scheduled backup.
