Deploy DHCP to each Windows Server in the DHCP failover pair.
Prior to deployment, ensure that DNS resolution is configured properly on the DDW server.
Important: You must deploy to each Windows Server in DHCP failover pair.
Failure to do so risks leaving the DHCP failover relationship on both peer servers
in a communications interrupted state.
Note: If the DDW server cannot resolve forward and reverse DNS names for the DHCP
servers in the Windows DHCP failover relationship, it will ignore the server names
specified in the DHCP failover relationship definitions and use either the hostnames
returned by DNS reverse resolution, or use the server IP addresses as the
corresponding server names instead (if DNS reverse resolution was not available at
all). Either case could result in the MMC being unable to show the peer server
status correctly. Deployment will complete and a warning message will be logged in
the DHCP deployment log file.
