Once you have created a multi-primary DNS server group and added a DNS deployment role to the server(s), you can perform a DNS deployment to the server group to enable multi-primary DNS service on the DNS/DHCP Servers in the server group.
Attention: You can only deploy DNS service to multi-primary server
groups. For more information on configuring multi-primary server groups, refer
to Creating or editing a server group.
- Select the Servers tab in the sidebar, then select Server groups.
- Select the checkbox for one or more server groups for which you want to enable multi-primary DNS service.
- Select .
- Under Selected, review the list of server groups to be updated.
- Under Services, select the DNS checkbox to deploy DNS service to the server group.
- Under Deployment preference, select the Force full DNS deployment checkbox to force Address Manager to perform a full deployment of all DNS configuration data. By default, Address Manager attempts to perform a differential deployment when possible (deployment of only DNS resource record changes, if these are the only changes made since last deployment). First deployments and changes to DNS zones, DNS deployment options or roles, DNSSEC keys, TSIG keys, Kerberos principals, server groups, or other objects outside of DNS resource records will still result in a full deployment if this checkbox is left unchecked.
- Select Deploy.
