Dynamic resource records are records that aren't manually added to Address Manager. Dynamic resource records are added to DNS/DHCP Servers and populated in Address Manager through DNS/DHCP Server notifications.
The following DNS resource records can be created dynamically through DNS/DHCP Server
notifications:
- Host (A/AAAA) records
- Alias (CNAME) records
- Text (TXT) records
- Host information (HINFO) records
- Service (SRV) records
- Main Exchange (MX) records
- Naming Authority Pointer (NAPTR) records
- Dynamic Host Configuration Identifier (DHCID) records1
- Pointer (PTR) records
- Certificate Authority Authorization (CAA) records
- Responsible Person (RP) records
- Transport Layer Security Authentication (TLSA) records
- Well-Known Service (WKS) records
- Generic records

Attention: Dynamic DHCID records cannot be edited,
renamed, moved, or duplicated. You can only delete dynamic DHCID
resource records.
