Edit general options for a CNAME record previously created in Address Manager.
To edit an alias (CNAME) record:
- Select the DNS tab in the sidebar, then select Views.
- Navigate to the level (DNS zone or DNS sub-zone) which contains the resource record you want to edit.
- Select the Resource records tab.
- Select the row containing the alias (CNAME) record in the Resource records table, then select Edit in the expanded details section.

Under General, you can edit the following parameters:
- Name—enter the name for the alias record.
- Host—In the text field, type the name of a host record. As you type, a list of host records matching your text appears. Select a name from the list. To specify an external host, enter the name of the host and select the External host checkbox.
- Override TTL—to change the time-to-live value for the record, select this checkbox and enter a value in the TTL field that is displayed. Select a unit of time from the drop-down menu.
- Under Additional info, enter notes describing the resource record in the Comment field, if required.
- In the Change control section, add comments if required.
- Select Save.
