Modify an IPv6 address assignment to change it to a different address type. If the interface’s MAC address has changed, you can move the assignment to a different MAC address or interface ID.
To edit or move an IPv6 address assignment:
- Select the IPAM tab in the sidebar, then select IPv6 blocks.
- Navigate to the IPv6 network that contains the IPv6 address selecting the network in the IPAM tree view panel, or by selecting the network's range in its parent block's IPv6 blocks and networks table.

To edit the assignment:
- Select the row actions button (⋮) for the allocated address, then select Edit.
- Edit assignment properties according to the fields detailed in Assigning IPv6 addresses.

To move the address assignment:
- Select the row actions button (⋮) for the allocated address, then
select Move. In the move address window that appears, set the
following parameters:
- Network—specify the destination IPv6 network to which the IPv6 address will be reassigned.
- New location:
- By MAC address— enter the new MAC address. Use this option when you know the new MAC address for the assignment.
- By interface ID—enter the new interface ID. Use this option when you know the new interface ID for the assignment.
- Under Change control comment, enter a change control comment if required.
- Select Confirm.

select Move. In the move address window that appears, set the
