Supported Features

Micetro can be used to manage DNS and DHCP services on Micetro DNS/DHCP Servers, as well as the following server services:
  • DNS resolvers
  • Firewall
  • NTP
  • SNMP
  • SSH
  • DHCP Failover
  • Syslog Configuration
  • Anycast (Micetro v25.1.0+)
  • Dedicated Management (Micetro v25.1.0+)
  • Crossover High Availability (Micetro v26.1.0+)

Micetro can also be used to restart and shutdown Micetro DNS/DHCP Server appliances. For more information on the configuration of DNS/DHCP, server services, and appliance management, refer to Using Micetro to configure DNS, DHCP, and server services.

Micetro supports the application of hotfixes, patches, and upgrades to Micetro DNS/DHCP Servers through the Micetro UI. For more information, refer to Upgrading Micetro DNS/DHCP Servers.

Micetro supports the backup and restoration of Micetro DNS/DHCP Server appliances. For more information, refer to Backup and Restore in the Micetro Admin Guide on the Micetro Documentation Portal.

Unsupported Features

The following features are not supported for this initial implementation of Micetro DNS/DHCP Servers:

  • DHCPv6
  • For Interfaces: Additional IP Addresses, VLAN, Bonding Interfaces
  • Health Telemetry services (DNS Activity, DNS Statistics, DHCP Activity, DHCP Statistics)
