Search for the first unassigned IPv4 network within an IPv4 block.

The Find first unassigned address feature, available in the Actions menu on IPv4 block page, lets you find the next available IPv4 address within an IPv4 block. This feature may be restricted by user access rights.
Note: When using the Find first unassigned address function, Address Manager searches the IPv4 blocks in the order in which they appear in the IPv4 blocks table.

To find the first unassigned address:

  1. Select the IPAM tab in the sidebar, then select IPv4 blocks.
  2. Navigate to the IPv4 block that you would like to find an unassigned IPv4 address within by selecting the block's range in the IPv4 blocks table, or by selecting the block in the IPAM tree view panel.
  3. Select Actions > Find first unassigned address.
From here, you can set the assignment for the IP address according to the instructions in Assigning IPv4 addresses.
