Installation
Cloud Discovery & Visibility (CDV) is pre-installed as a feature module on Address Manager v26.1+ servers. To begin using Cloud Discovery & Visibility, simply license the feature module through the Address Manager user interface. To purchase a license for CDV, contact BlueCat Customer Care.
Licensing
To license the Cloud Discovery & Visibility feature module:
- Select the CD&V tab in the sidebar.
- Upload the license file and select Activate.Note: The CDV license service has been improved to monitor the number of discovered VPCs/VNets and warn users when limits are approached or exceeded.
The following VPCs/VNets are not included in the count:
- VPCs/VNets filtered out by the Tag filter feature
- VPCs/VNets filtered out by the CIDR filter, whose address spaces match any item from the Excluded CIDR list
A warning message will appear in the CDV UI between 80% and 99%. An error message will appear if the usage is equal to or greater than 100%. The used license quota can be found in the CDV logs.
Upgrading from previous CDV versions to CDV 26.1
CDV 26.1 and future CDV releases are supported only on Address Manager servers as a built-in feature module. To upgrade from a previous version of CDV, you must export CDV data from your current instance and import this data back into the new CDV 26.1 feature module instance on Address Manager. For more details, see Upgrading to CDV 26.1 from previous versions.
Upgrading from CDV 26.1 to future versions
Starting in Integrity 26.1, CDV upgrades will be packaged with Address Manager upgrades and require no additional installation steps.
