Merge two or more contiguous IPv4 DHCP ranges into a single IPv4 DHCP range when you want to consolidate smaller ranges into a single large range.

The ranges must be contiguous; that is, there can't be any unused or otherwise assigned addresses between the selected ranges. In addition, you must select the range that will retain its identity. For example, if the ranges have the same deployment option configured with different values, the range selected to retain its identity will retain its deployment option and name.

To merge DHCPv4 ranges:

  1. Select the IPAM tab in the sidebar, then select IPv4 blocks.
  2. Navigate to the IPv4 network that contains the DHCPv4 ranges you want to merge by selecting the network's range in the IPv4 blocks and networks table, or by selecting the network in the IPAM tree view panel.
  3. Select the IPv4 DHCP ranges tab.
  4. Select the checkboxes for the IPv4 DHCP ranges that you want to merge.
  5. Select Actions > Merge selected.
  6. Under Retain identity, select the IPv4 DHCP range that will retain its identity.
  7. Add a Change control comment, if required.
  8. Select Merge.
