Merge two IPv4 blocks into a single block in Address Manager.

To merge IPv4 blocks, select two or more blocks, and then determine which block retains its identity. The block retaining its identity is extended to fill all of the selected space, and the other block or blocks are removed.
Note: Any new block created using the merge function begins at the lowest address value from all of the selected blocks and ends at the highest address value. Any blocks occupying the address space within this range must also be selected for merge. Otherwise, the merge isn't completed.
Note: Starting in Address Manager v9.6.0, merging a child IPv4 block into a parent block will delete all deployment options and roles explicitly assigned to the child block. Deployment options and roles configured on the child block will not be transferred to the parent IPv4 block.

The Merge with Parent function merges space allocated as a block into its parent block. The child block that's merged disappears when it becomes part of the parent block again.

Note: This operation works only for block objects and not for networks.

To merge sibling IPv4 blocks, or merge with parent block:

  1. Select the IPAM tab in the sidebar, then select IPv4 blocks.
