Move an IPv6 block or network to a new location in the IPv6 address space.
Move an IPv6 block or network to change the IP address at which a block begins. You
can move blocks and networks between the Unique Local address space and the Global
Unicast address space.
Note: The block or network
being moved must fit within the new parent object and it must not overlap its
sibling objects. The block or network being moved can't be the same size as the new
parent block or network.
To move an IPv6 block or network:
- Select the IPAM tab in the sidebar, then select IPv6 blocks.
- Navigate to the parent block that contains the IPv6 block or network you would like to move by selecting the parent block's range in the IPv6 blocks table, or by selecting the parent block in the IPAM tree view panel.
- Select the row actions button (⋮) for the block or network, then select Move.
-
Under New location, enter the IPv6 address or select the
destination block or network.
- IPv6 address—enter the IPv6 address for the location to which you want to move the block or network. Enter only the IPv6 address without a netmask.
- Destination block—select the IPv6 block from the drop-down menu to which you want to move the block or network.
- Select Confirm.
