Move an IPv6 block or network to a new location in the IPv6 address space.

Move an IPv6 block or network to change the IP address at which a block begins. You can move blocks and networks between the Unique Local address space and the Global Unicast address space.
Note: The block or network being moved must fit within the new parent object and it must not overlap its sibling objects. The block or network being moved can't be the same size as the new parent block or network.

To move an IPv6 block or network:

  1. Select the IP Space tab. Tabs remember the page you last worked on, so select the tab again to ensure you're on the Configuration information page.
  2. From the configuration drop-down menu, select a configuration.
  3. Click the IPv6 tab. In the IPv6 Blocks section, click the FC00::/6 or the 2003::/3 address space.
  4. Under Address Space, navigate to the block or network that you want to move.
  5. Click the menu beside the block or network name and select Move.
  6. Under New Location, enter the IPv6 address or select the destination block or network.
    • IP Address—type the IPv6 address for the location to which you want to move the block or network. Type only the IPv6 address without a netmask.
    • Destination Block—select the block from the drop-down menu to which you want to move the block or network.
  7. Click Yes. The Move IPv6 Block/Network Confirmation page opens. The Destination section displays the new location of the IPv6 block or network.
  8. Under Change Control, add comments, if required.
  9. Click Yes.
