Address Manager presents all of your IP address management (IPAM) and DNS data in an intuitive browser-based interface.

Note: When logging into the Address Manager UI for the first time, the only sidebar tabs that will be visible are Dashboard, Global, and Settings. To populate the sidebar with the IPAM, DNS, Devices, and Servers tabs, you must create your first configuration.

Global header

The global header displays the current Address Manager version, the replication status of the Address Manager server, the hostname of the Address Manager server, and the IP address of the Address Manager server. Users can customize which fields are displayed, set a custom system description, and set the color scheme for the header. For more information, refer to Global header customization.

Primary sidebar tabs

The primary sidebar tabs of the left side of the Address Manager UI are used for high level navigation of Address Manager. Select a primary tab to expand the sidebar with associated page selection options.

IPAM/DNS tree view

When navigating IP and DNS space (IPv4/IPv6 blocks, IPv4/IPv6 networks, DNS views, and DNS zones), the hierarchy of IP/DNS space will be displayed next to the primary sidebar tabs. Select an object in the tree view, or enter an object address/name in the search bar at the top of the tree view panel to navigate directly to the object's page.

Object menu

On an object's page, select the chevron next to the object's name to expand the object menu.

Add to favorites

Favorites are bookmarks that you can use to navigate to commonly-used objects in Address Manager. Every Address Manager object that can be added to your list of favorites has a Favorites button (star) next to the object's name on the object's details page. Select this button to add the object to your favorites list. For details, refer to Favorites.

Secondary tabs

Use secondary tabs to navigate to additional tables on an Address Manager page. For example, use the secondary tabs on an IPv4 block's page to navigate to associated subblocks and networks, DHCP lease history, DNSSEC options, deployment options, deployment roles, user-defined links, workflow requests, access rights, and transactions.

IP space allocation indicators

Address Manager IPAM pages for IPv4 block, network, and address administration contain graphic indicators that display the current network and address allocation status.

Note: Network/address allocation indicators may take up to 5 minutes to reflect updates, due to the cache for IP space utilization statistics.

Table options

Most Address Manager tables have New and Actions buttons that allow users to add objects to the table, or perform actions on checkbox selected table objects.

Each Address Manager table has a default table filter bar at the top of the table. For more information on the input format for table filters, refer to Table filtering.

The filter button allows users to add, combine, and edit table filters. The available table filter options will depend on the type of data presented in the table. For more information, refer to Table filtering.

The refresh button refreshes table information to match the latest Address Manager data.

The download button allows users to download table data in CSV format. Users can download all table data or specify a subset of table rows to export.

The column select button allows users to customize which columns to include in the table. For more information, refer to Customizing tables.

Row actions

Select the row actions menu to open a menu of actions for the object in the row.

Quick and advanced search
