A full deployment will force Address Manager to deploy all data. You can choose to deploy DNS, DHCPv4, DHCPv6 or TFTP data.

If the validation options are set, pre-deployment validation will be performed as part of the normal deployment process. For more information about setting validation options, refer to Validating deployment.
Note: Pre-deployment validation doesn't check all combinations of deployment data. The deployment might still fail even after pre-deployment validation is successful. In the event of issues after successful pre-deployment validation, a server's Deployments tab will display the results. You can also navigate to the Events page (Global > Events) to check the logs.

To perform a full deployment:

  1. If you are performing a full deployment to a server:
    1. Select the Servers tab in the sidebar, then select Servers.
    2. Select the checkbox for one or more servers.
    3. Select Actions > Deploy.
    4. Under Services, select the services to be deployed to the server: DHCPv4, DHCPv6, DNS, or TFTP.
    5. Select Force full DNS deployment to force Address Manager to perform a full deployment of all DNS configuration data. By default, Address Manager attempts to perform a differential deployment when possible (deployment of only DNS resource record changes, if these are the only changes made since last deployment). First deployments and changes to DNS zones, DNS deployment options or roles, DNSSEC keys, TSIG keys, Kerberos principals, server groups, or other objects outside of DNS resource records will still result in a full deployment if this box is left unchecked.
    6. If you are deploying to a DNS/DHCP Server that has a secondary DNS role to a multi-primary server group or individual primary server, select Force zone transfer to force a re-transfer of DNS zone data to a secondary DNS server where the primary DNS role belongs to an individual primary DNS server or servers in a multi-primary server group.
If you are performing a full deployment to a server group:
    1. Select the Servers tab in the sidebar, then select Server groups.
    2. Select the checkbox for one or more server groups.
    3. Select Actions > Deploy.
Attention: You can only perform deployments on server groups that are configured as multi-primary DNS server groups. For more information, refer to Multi-primary DNS zones.
    4. Under Services, select the DNS service to be deployed to the server group.
Note: You can only deploy DNS service to a server group.
  2. In the Change control section, add comments if required.
  3. Select Deploy.
