Credentials are the configuration values needed to gain access to and gather information about the devices you want to discover using the discovery types supported in Network Discovery. Devices can have different sets of credentials so you must enter all of them for the discovery that you wish to perform on a network, before running discovery. When running a discovery, Network Discovery iterates through all sets of credentials associated with a discovery policy until it finds a set that works for each device.
You can add credentials from the Credentials page, accessed by selecting the Credentials tab in the Network Discovery & Visibility GUI.
Note: If multiple devices use the same credentials, you can create
the credentials once and save them to reuse across multiple discovery
policies.
