You can remove a managed DNS/DHCP Server appliance or VM from Address Manager control to perform maintenance or to configure settings on the DNS/DHCP Server appliance itself.

You need to disable the DNS/DHCP Server first from the Address Manager user interface.
Note: If bonding is enabled on the DNS/DHCP Server appliance, removing the server from Address Manager control will also disable bonding.

To reset DNS/DHCP Server from Address Manager control:

  1. From Main Session mode, type configure system and press ENTER.
  2. Type set state no-proteus-control and press ENTER.
The DNS/DHCP Server is immediately removed from Address Manager control.
Note: To return the DNS/DHCP Server to Address Manager control, you must replace the server from the Address Manager user interface.
