Reset the Address Manager database to its factory default settings

Under certain conditions, it might be required to reset Address Manager to the factor default settings.
Warning: Resetting the Address Manager database removes all configurations and settings from Address Manager, and sets the database to the factory settings. This action cannot be reversed. BlueCat strongly advises against performing this action unless absolutely necessary.

To reset the Address Manager database

  1. Select the Settings tab in the sidebar.
  2. Under Database management, select Database backup and restore.
  3. From the Backup and restore header, click the dropdown menu and select Reset database.
  4. Under Confirmation, type Reset my entire database before proceeding to reset the database.
  5. Click Reset and log out.
Address Manager resets the database and restarts, logging you out of the current session. Once the database reset has completed, you can log back in to the Address Manager UI.

You can then upload a database backup file and restore the database from a backup. For more information on uploading a backup file, refer to Uploading backup files from the Address Manager UI

For more information on restoring the database from a backup, refer to Restoring the database.
