When running rediscovery, Cloud Discovery & Visibility (CDV) tags resources (views, zones, and configurations) for deletion if they currently exist in Address Manager but no longer exist in the cloud environment. By default, when running rediscovery, CDV does not delete tagged resources from Address Manager.

You can view tagged resources in the Tagged resources tab to decide whether or not they should be deleted. For example, an organization's network might include main zones from the cloud, whose resources are discovered and merged with local on-premise resources. In this case, you might want to leave the resources in Address Manager, since they're managed internally.

Users can configure how parent zones are affected when deleting tagged child zones on the Settings tab. For more information refer to Configuring parent zone deletion settings.
Tip: Select a resource name in the table to navigate to the object in Address Manager.
Note: The Tagged resources tab contains only resources tagged for deletion. For information on all the ways that CDV tags Address Manager resources, refer to About resource tagging.
Note: If the tagged views and zones are imported back through another visibility job or a subsequent rediscovery, these tagged entries will remain unlinked.

To view the list of tagged resources:

  1. At the top of CDV, click the Tagged resources tab.

CDV displays a list of Views and Zones that it has identified as missing and tagged for possible deletion.

You can filter the list to find a specific resource:

    • To find a resource with a specific name, enter the name (or part of it) in the Name field. Tag names for deleted resources are based on the resource's tagged View or Zone configuration.

    • To filter by Configuration Name or Type, click the filter button, then click Add filter and select the desired name and/or type from their lists.

    • When you've set up the filter, click Apply.

To refresh the list, click the Refresh button.

To manually delete network resources that were tagged as missing from the set of managed resources in Address Manager:

  1. From the Tagged resources tab, select the checkboxes next to each Resource that you want to delete.

  2. When you're done, click Actions and select Delete.
