Before enabling SSO, BlueCat recommends testing the SSO connection to ensure connectivity between BAM and the IdP.

  1. Select the Settings tab in the sidebar.
  2. Under System security, select Authenticators.
  3. Select a row containing a previously configured SAML identity provider.
  4. In the expanded details section, select the Test SSO button.
  5. In the Sign in window, enter the username and password of a SSO user, then select Sign in.
If the SSO connection is successful, you will see a checkmark icon appear on the Test SSO button. If the connection fails, make sure you have opened port 443, and double check the accuracy of the IdP metadata to verify that the user and group belong to an SSO group in Address Manager.
