View the list of issues discovered by the data checker and detailed information about each issue. You can also override issues.
For details on data checker rules which will trigger error, warning, or information events, refer to Address Manager data checker Rules.
To view and override data checker issues:
-
When the data checker finds an issue with the object data in your
configuration, a warning icon (View data checker issues) appears on the
specific page for that object. For more information about the issue, select the
warning icon.
This opens the Data checker results tab that displays potential issues in the configuration and their details such as the affected object, severity level, date and time when the data was last checked, and override setting (Yes or No). The following are the possible severity levels:
- Info—these are items that are incomplete or that are missing dependencies in the configuration. They don't prevent you from deploying your configuration.
- Warning—these are more serious items that are incomplete, missing dependencies, or that go against typical DNS and DHCP best practices. They don't prevent you from deploying your configuration, but they may cause problems after you deploy.
- Error—these items are set up incorrectly or won't work properly when deployed to your network. These items prevent you from deploying your configuration. You can override these issues to proceed with deployment, but correcting the problems before deploying the configuration is recommended.
- To view more details of an issue, select the row containing the issue. Alternatively, select the vertical ellipsis icon for the issue, then select View details. The expanded details section displays additional details of the issue such as Object ID, rule code, and date and time when the issue was raised.
-
To override one or more issues, select the checkbox for the issues, then select Actions > Override selected. Alternatively, select the vertical ellipsis icon for the issue,
then select Override.
The Overridden column for the selected issues displays Yes, indicating that the issues are overridden.
-
To clear the override for one or more issues, select the checkbox for the
issues, then select Actions > Clear. Alternatively, select the vertical ellipsis icon for the issue,
then select Clear.
The Overridden column for the selected issues displays No, indicating that the issues are not overridden.
