Address Manager transaction history logs all user activity, such as creating, editing, and deleting objects, and changing system settings. The Transaction history page and object specific Transaction tabs are available for administrative users.

You can view the transaction history for individual objects and for the entire system. The Transaction history page displays all transactions within Address Manager.

To view the global transaction history:

  1. Select the Global tab in the sidebar.
  2. Select Transactions.
  3. The Transaction history page displays the following information:
    • Operation—a description of the operation recorded by the transaction
    • User—the name of the user who performed the transaction
    • Time—the date and time the transaction occurred
    • Transaction Number—the unique identification number for the transaction
    • Action—the action type for the transaction
Select the name of an operation to see all transactions associated with that operation type.

To view the transaction history for a single object:

  1. Navigate to the object that you would like to view associated transactions for.
  2. Select the Transactions tab.
  3. The transactions table displays the following information:
    • Operation—a description of the operation recorded by the transaction
    • User—the name of the user who performed the transaction
    • Time—the date and time the transaction occurred
    • Transaction Number—the unique identification number for the transaction
    • Action—the action type for the transaction
Note: Filter transactions by operation, user, time, action, object type, field value, and/or comment by setting filter options for a table containing transactions. For more information, refer to Table filtering.
Note: The Transactions table also supports filtering by Field value. The Field value filter accepts previous and updated values for object names, addresses and ranges that were modified in a transaction. For example, the transaction for renaming an IPv4 network from Network1 to Network2 can be targeted with either Field value equals Network1 or Field value equals Network2. User-defined field values are not supported by the Field value filter.
