Obtaining AMI images and selecting instance type - BlueCat Address Manager - 8.3.0

AMI images for BlueCat AWS Virtual Appliances are available on the AWS Marketplace via the AWS Console.

To obtain AMI images and select an instance type:

  1. Sign in to your AWS Console.
  2. Navigate to your EC2 Dashboard.
  3. Click Launch Instance.
  4. Select AWS Marketplace
  5. Search for Bluecat BDDS.
    Important: Ensure that the Owner ID under the Owner column is 932003440837. This verifies it as a genuine BlueCat instance. Amazon does not enforce rules on the naming of AMI in the community.
  6. Select the image and click Select.
  7. Choose an instance type from the list then click Next: Configure Instance Details to configure instance details such as network interfaces and license.
