Tagging the instance helps you to categorize and manage your AWS resources. This is especially useful when you have many resources with the same type.

To tag your instance:

  1. From the Step 5: Tag Instance page, set the following two fields:
    • Key—enter the descriptive name for your BlueCat DNS for AWSBlueCat AWS Virtual Appliance instance. For example, Server Name.
    • Value—enter the role of your instance. For example, DNS server 1.
  2. Click Next: Configure Security Group to proceed to configure your firewall rule settings.
