Configuring basic settings - BlueCat Integrity

Configure the basic settings of your BlueCat Azure Virtual Appliances resource template.

After obtaining your BlueCat Azure Virtual Appliances Azure Application from the Azure Marketplace, you will be presented with a wizard which will guide you through configuring licensing, network, and storage information so it can be deployed in your environment.

To configure Resource Template basic settings:

Configure the following:
1. Subscription—select your Azure subscription from the drop-down menu.
2. Resource Group—create a new Azure Resource Group or select an existing one. If selecting an existing Resource Group, ensure it is blank and has not been configured with any interfaces.
3. Region—select the geographic location of your VM from the drop-down menu.
4. VM Name—enter the name of your BlueCat Azure Virtual Appliances VM instance.
5. Availability Options—select an availability option for your BlueCat Address Manager for Azure or BlueCat DNS and DHCP Server for Azure virtual appliance.
  The availability option can be one of the following:
  - No infrastructure redundancy required: No redundancy will be configured for the VM instance.
  - Availability zone: Uses unique physical locations within an Azure region to isolate VM resources from each other when they are deployed.
  - Availability set: Uses logical groupings that allow you to isolate VM resources from each other when they are deployed.
  If you select Availability zone, the following additional field appears:
  - Availability zone—select the Availability Zone identifier for your availability zone.

  If you select Availability set, the following additional field appears:
  - Number of Fault domains—select the number of fault domains for your availability set.
  - Number of Update domains—select the number of update domains for your availability set. You can choose a maximum of 20 update domains.
  The VMs in an availability set are distributed among fault domains and update domains. The VMs within the same update domain reboot at the same time. VMs within the same fault domain share a common power source and network switch.
6. SKU—select the BAM or BDDS model that you would like to deploy.
7. Image Version—select your VM version from the drop-down menu.
8. SSH public key source—select a source for the SSH public key that will be applied to both the admin user and the bluecat user. You can generate a new key pair, use an existing key stored in Azure, or provide an existing RSA public key in single-line or multi-line PEM format. SSH login as the root user is not supported.

9. Client ID—enter the client ID provided in your BlueCat purchase agreement, for example ANEWCUSTOMER123.
  
  Note: Client ID values are case-sensitive.
10. License Key—enter the license key provided in your BlueCat purchase agreement, for example 55555-12345-4ED6D-46DF5-E33D2.
  
  Note: License key values are case-sensitive.
Click Next: System Settings.
