This section provides information on installing, deploying, and launching BlueCat Azure Virtual Appliances.

There are two ways to launch BlueCat Azure Virtual Appliances: the Azure portal or using the Azure CLI (Command line interface).

BlueCat Address Manager for Azure and BlueCat DNS and DHCP Server for Azure Applications are available on the Azure Marketplace.
Note: You must obtain licenses from BlueCat Customer Care in order to launch BlueCat Azure Virtual Appliances.
Note: Azure only allows the latest Integrity image versions to be hosted on the Azure Marketplace. For customers who require deployment of supported Integrity versions preceding the latest patch version, Azure VM images are available for download on the Customer Care portal. These images must be converted from 'Dynamic' to 'Fixed' VHD type before uploading to Azure. For more information, refer to article 18158 on the Customer Care portal.

For detailed information about administering BlueCat Address Manager and BlueCat DNS/DHCP Servers, refer to the Address Manager Administration Guide.

Note: Periodically Microsoft sends deprecated Azure Marketplace image notifications as older image versions are deprecated (Deprecated images FAQ). Should an existing Azure DNS/DHCP Server need to rebuilt, Address Manager can support up to n-2 DNS/DHCP Server versions (i.e. a 9.6.x Address Manager server can support Azure 9.4.x and 9.5.x DNS/DHCP Servers). If the only available DNS/DHCP Server version is higher than the Address Manager version (i.e. a 9.6.0 Address Manager and a 9.6.1 DNS/DHCP Server) then the Address Manager server must be upgraded to support the DNS/DHCP Server version. If an Azure Address Manager server needs to be rebuilt, contact BlueCat Customer Care.
