The Cisco ACI workflow imports the following components of a Cisco ACI infrastructure into BlueCat Address Manager (BAM):

  • ACI Fabric Devices

    • APICs

    • SPINEs

    • LEAFs

  • Tenants

    • Private Networks

    • Bridge Domains

    • Subnets

    • Endpoint Devices

  • Additional metadata such as End Point Groups

Tip: In an ACI infrastructure, the spine is the ACI network to which other network components are connected. The leaf devices are the devices and endpoints connected to an ACI network.
BAM organizes the ACI Tenant Infrastructure as Tab Groups, Tags, and Configurations. You can use Address Manager Configuration Groups to help you organize Tenants.

ACI Fabric Devices appear as Device Subtypes under the "Cisco ACI Infrastructure" Device Type:

  • Groups
  • Device Types
  • Device Subtypes
