The Aging Records Report shows records that were aged based on the settings configured on the Distributed DDNS Data Node cluster level, zone, and reverse zone level. Aging settings configured in zone and reverse zone settings override settings configured at the cluster level.

This report shows only the non-permanent, aging records where the timestamp of the resource records, plus the configured No-Refresh Interval and Refresh Interval, is less than the current time. You can use the report to identify stale records that should be scavenged (that is, removed to help prevent the accumulation of unneeded records).

To access the Aging Records Report:

  1. If it's not already displayed, click the Aging & Scavenging tab.

  2. Click the Aging Records link.

Scavenging records

  1. Select the entry for a specific record, or click Select All to select all records.

  2. Click Scavenge to remove the selected resource records.

Adding an exemption from scavenging

  1. Select the entry for a specific record, or click Select All to select all records.

  2. Click Exempt from Scavenging to convert the record to a static record that is exempt from scavenging. These records are not deleted.
