The BAM update service synchronizes the Address Manager zone information, such as DNS servers and TSIG keys, to the Distributed DDNS database. The service only runs on one data node in the cluster. If the data node is shut down, the service is started on another data node in the cluster automatically.

  1. Click the Settings icon under the Zone Update column.
  2. In the configuration window, enter the following information:
    ---
    DNS_ZONE_UPDATE_CLUSTERS: []
    DNS_ZONE_UPDATE_INTERVALS: 30
Where the parameters represent the following:
    • DNS_ZONE_UPDATE_CLUSTERS: A list of IP addresses of DNS servers associated to the zone.
    • DNS_ZONE_UPDATE_INTERVALS: The interval at which the data node monitors the Address Manager zone information (in seconds). By default, the service checks Address Manager every 30 seconds.
  3. Click Start to enable the Distributed DDNS service.
  4. Click Save to save the Distributed DDNS service configuration and add the service to the Distributed DDNS Data Node.
