Stopping the Distributed DDNS Application Node
  1. Log in to the Address Manager user interface.
  2. From the configuration drop-down menu, select a configuration.
  3. Select the Servers tab. Tabs remember the page you last worked on, so select the tab again to ensure you're on the Configuration information page.
  4. Under Servers, click the name of the BDDS that the Distributed DDNS Application Node is deployed to. The Details tab for the server opens.
  5. Click the server name menu and select Service Configuration.
  6. From the Service Type drop-down menu, select BlueCat Gateway. Address Manager queries the server and returns the current values for the service settings.
  7. Under General Settings, uncheck the Enable Gateway Service check box.
  8. Click Update.

    After you click Update, the Gateway Service is disabled and the Distributed DDNS Application Node is stopped.

Updating the Distributed DDNS Application Node

Once it has successfully stopped, you can update the Distributed DDNS Application Node to a newer version. For more information on installing a newer version of the Distributed DDNS Application Node, refer to Installing the Distributed DDNS Application Node on a BDDS.

Attention: Once you have updated the Distributed DDNS Application Node, you must also update the database node and database schema to the latest version before proceeding to perform any additional configuration changes in the application node UI.
