When updating Distributed DDNS components, you must upgrade each component in the system. BlueCat recommends updating the components in the following order:
  1. Distributed DDNS Application Node
  2. Distributed DDNS Data Node
  3. Distributed DDNS Service Node

Before updating any components, first remove the Data Node and Service Node from the Application Node. You can do so from the Application Node UI. Removing a node only removes its data from the database and does not impact operation of the node.
